About Der Glanz
A standard, not
a showroom trick.
Der Glanz is German for shine. It’s also the only word that describes what we’ve been doing since our detail shop opened in Newark in 2018, backed by decades in the automotive trade before that.
Precision doesn’t check what you drive
Most detail shops build their reputation around the cars that turn heads, the exotics, the show cars, the ones that get photographed. We built ours around the cars that actually show up every day: the commuter sedan, the work truck, the family SUV with two car seats in the back.
That’s not a marketing angle, it’s how we actually run the shop. Every vehicle that comes through our bay gets the same inspection, the same prep process, and the same standard of work, whether it’s a daily driver or something with a six-figure price tag. We don’t run two tiers of quality depending on what’s parked in front of us.
In the automotive trade since 1993, and running a dedicated detail shop in Newark, Delaware since 2018, that approach has meant a lot of repeat customers and a lot of word of mouth, the kind of reputation you can’t buy with a bigger ad budget.
What backs the work
Credentials matter less than the work itself, but they’re part of how we hold ourselves accountable to a real standard, not just a claim.
What we actually believe
One standard
The same process and attention to detail regardless of make, model, or price tag.
Correction before coating
We don’t seal in existing swirl marks and call it protection. Prep work comes first, always.
Straight answers
If your paint doesn’t need a full correction, we’ll tell you, not upsell you into one anyway.
